The largest apes went extinct 100,000 years ago. Which really isn’t that long ago. What if they made it over a land bridge in search of food? Years ago North America had a lot of bamboo.
So, what if that was what these apes came for? What if they are still here?
Ohio had a ton of this bamboo along all of our waterways which corresponds with where Grass Ape sightings have been. It also aligns with the skunk ape in Florida who is known to live in and around marshes and bogs. Same in NJ.
Interestingly enough, there are also legends of more modern apes like the Orangutan kidnapping and mating with humans.
